[Video] Guy Puts Up His Own Big Pun Place Sign

Some folks go through official channels when they’re trying to get local streets and parks renamed in honor of deceased icons, and some people just break out a ladder and put up their own damn sign. That’s exactly what Shane Rossi did this past Friday in the Bronx to commemorate the passing of Big Pun. Here’s footage of Rossi erecting a Big Pun Place sign on the corner of 163rd Street and Rogers Place, an intersection that Pun’s family and fans have attempted to have renamed for the late MC in the past. Previous attempts have been met with resistance and red tape, so Rossi decided to show some initiative and make shit happen.

Read about how Rossi had the sign made using the NYC Dept. of Transportation’s
custom sign program over at ANIMAL.

I also included footage of Jay Shells working on his Rap Quotes project in NY and L.A.
